Everything was set. There was room for error, not today of all days. She placed her add in the newspaper to tell everyone in town about the grand opening. In front of the stores’ windows were twenty customers waiting to enter the once department store now café named, Violet’s Corner. This was Katherine’s biggest accomplishment and she was ready to show it off. Next to her stood her best friend Ellen, who had helped in Violet’s Corner. It was time. For a moment Kat took a deep breath and closed her eyes. This was a moment she would never forget.

The dull sound on the air conditioning unit filled the small apartment as a young man throws a ball against the wall, utterly bored. Nothing was worth anything to James anymore. Not even as a teacher at his school. He had lost all vigor for teaching or relating with anyone. He hoped something interesting would happen else, he would die of boredom. Next door to him his neighbor played the radio music loudly. Perhaps if he read a book he would not be bored to tears. Just as he began to reach for a book beside him his phone buzzed.

This was it! She was finally going to get what she had worked so hard for! Hana Inoue was jumping up and down in her single room apartment. She was now officially working at a local high school as an art teacher. For years she had studied education and art and for years before that she had always wanted to be an art teacher. Now she finally was going to live her dream! Hana continued to dance around her kitchenette joyfully. The only thing that would make Hana Inoue even happier was finding a husband who loved and adored her!

Nothing made sense anymore to a man knelling at a gravestone. She was gone and he was left to endless pain without her. No one could heal his crushed heart. Two days before he had quit his job at the FBI, his best friend begged him to stay, but everything seemed so meaningless without her. His wedding was supposed to happen a month ago in September, but since the accident all the plans for the wedding changed to the funeral. Matthew was pulled from his thoughts when his phone rang. “Hello? Yes thanks.” He murmured He was alone now forever.

I'm writing this story and I'd like to introduce my followers to this story that I have been writing with a friend of mine. The full title is "To Connect To One's Heart" but I usually refer to it as "Connecting Hearts". The story is about four people, whose names are Hana Inoue, Matthew Henderson, Katherine Malacon, and James Tyson.
